Floor screeds are made from high-strength cementitious mortar in a defined ratio of cement to sharp sand. Here the ratio can be 1:3 or 1:4.5. They are usually applied onto a solid concrete floor slab or a precast unit. Meanwhile, the floor screeds can be made of Portland cement, special additives, and graded mineral aggregates.
The primary usage of floor screeds is that it helps to achieve firm and leveled floors. Further, it is suitable for bonded and floating constructions.
